Student's Choice: Agriculture
Agriculture, the practice of farming, cultivation of soil, food, and raising livestock was a key development in the rise of human civilization. Farming and the raising of domesticated species led to food surpluses which laid the foundation for creating cities. It is a practice heavily relied upon still today. It can also be the subject of controversy in its vast history including the use of slavery within plantations. In this portfolio, the subject of agriculture and its many developments can be seen and appreciated through the artists’ depictions.
